Marcel Becker

My work focuses on analyzing patterns in bird flight behavior and activity. At the core of this research is the movement ecology of the Red Kite, particularly aspects such as flight altitude, flight activity, spatial use, and phenological patterns. The goal of my work is to provide scientific foundations for the environmentally sustainable expansion of wind energy. Methodologically, I focus on the spatio-temporal processing and analysis of large datasets. In addition, I am involved in developing technology-based approaches to improve nature conservation monitoring.

As a Technical Assistant, I support the technical and methodological implementation of various research projects. Equipment and materials for fieldwork can be borrowed through me.
