DynaRel - Dynamics of the Religious: Ambivalent Neighbourhoods between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam in Historical and Contemporary Constellations

The LOEWE Centre DynaRel investigates the religious, cultural, and political dynamics between Judaism, Christianity, and Islam across historical and contemporary contexts. It analyses both sources of conflict and resources for coexistence in plural, post-migration societies, and develops innovative pedagogical approaches to religious diversity. The centre is coordinated by Goethe University Frankfurt; Philipps-Universität Marburg participates with four departments, contributing expertise in sociology, religious studies, and Islamic studies.

Project duration: 2026–2029
Funding: LOEWE-Zentrum (HMWK Hessen)
