  - You conduct seminars for adults on topics such as text and literature interpretation or communication.
  - In adult continuing education, you may also conduct language courses depending on your literary studies (e.g. English courses in English studies).
  - As an education specialist  in vocational, general, or political continuing education, you are responsible for organizing and designing educational events, for example.
  - You develop educational and teaching concepts tailored to specific target groups.
  - You select suitable teaching materials and trial new learning and teaching methods.
  - You support course participants with questions, assignments, and learning difficulties.
  - As the head of a department or division, you identify training needs and plan the curriculum of classes and activities accordingly. You are also responsible for recruiting, supervising, and directing teaching staff.
  - You advise customers and those interested in education about the educational opportunities available.
  - You create teaching materials and research various current and historical sources from the respective language and cultural area, e.g. novels, reports, films, or recordings of spoken language.
  - For companies, you give a wide variety of workshops on language and communication.
