Career Paths in Study of Religious
Globalization and migration are leading to religious and cultural diversity in our societies. Scholars of religion show us ways to understand and navigate this diversity. They get to the root of the causes of - and solutions to - conflicts and violence between religions and cultures. Through research, thoughtful information, and education, they foster intercultural and interreligious tolerance and acceptance. And by curating collections and exhibitions on the history of religion, they foster respect and admiration for the artistic skill of “others.”
Graduates of the programs at the Institute for Social Anthropology and Religious Studies have come to their field of study for a variety of reasons and leave with even more avenues to pursue in their professional careers. Whether in cultural, political, educational, journalistic, or research-oriented fields. In addition to other obvious fields in cultural studies and social sciences, there are also several discipline-specific areas:
- Research
- Education
- Consulting
- International Affairs
