Travelling by car
From the direction of Kassel (from the north)
Option 1: Exit the highway at the exit "Marburg-Bahnhofstraße.” Turn right toward the city center onto Bahnhofstraße at the first traffic light. Enter the left lane after the next traffic light and turn left onto Elisabethstraße at the end of Bahnhofstraße. Remain in the left lane until the next traffic light at the Elisabethkirche and turn left at the Elisabethkirche onto Deutschhausstraße. Continue straight ahead through the next traffic light, following the same street around a sharp right curve – you are now on Biegenstraße. After approximately 300 meters there is a church on the right-hand side of the street and directly next to the church is the entrance to a parking lot.
Option 2: Exit the highway at the exit “Marburg-Mitte” and turn right at the first traffic light. Remain in the right-hand lane toward the city center. After passing two pedestrian crossings you will cross a bridge over the Lahn River. Turn right at the next traffic light and change to the left-hand lane. Remain in the left lane and proceed past the Cineplex-Kino on your right. Move into the far left-hand lane before approaching the second pedestrian crossing (at the "Lecker Eck" snack bar) and take the first left immediately after the pedestrian crossing. You have arrived at the university administration building.
From the direction of Frankfurt/Gießen (from the south)
Exit the highway at the exit "Marburg-Mitte" (at the Esso gas station) and remain in the right-hand lane until the next traffic light, where you will also turn right toward the city center. Continue in the right-hand lane. After three traffic lights you will cross the bridge over the Lahn River. Turn right at the next traffic light after you’ve crossed the bridge, then enter the left lane. Remain in the left lane and pass by the Cineplex-Kino on your right. Move into the far left lane before approaching the second pedestrian crossing (at the "Lecker Eck" snack bar) and take the first left immediately after the pedestrian crossing. You have arrived at the University Administration.
By train
From the Marburg Hauptbahnhof you can either take a taxi that is waiting in the area directly adjacent to the train station, or you can take a bus to Biegenstraße 10/12. You can take any of the city bus lines 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 or 7 directly to our offices. You get off the bus at the “Erwin-Piscator-Haus” stop, which is located directly in front of the University Administration / Universitätsverwaltung.
By long distance bus
Long distance buses stop at Marburg’s Hauptbahnhof. You can find suitable bus travel providers using online search engines.
