Immerse yourself in the exciting world of chemistry and tailor your academic career to suit your individual needs! Acquire a comprehensive scientific foundation during your studies, which may include subjects such as Inorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Theoretical Chemistry. Deepen your chemical expertise with MarSkills modules, which allow you to take additional modules from the single-subject Bachelor’s degree programme in Chemistry and have them credited towards your degree. MarSkills are an integral part of the combined Bachelor’s degree programme and enable you to acquire attractive and future-oriented key skills.
Our Bachelor’s degree programme in Chemistry not only offers you a solid education in theory and practice, but also the opportunity to broaden your horizons: combine your major with minors from other disciplines such as Biology, Physics or Economics to develop your strengths in a targeted manner and think in an interdisciplinary way.
Prospects
You have a wide range of prospects: Chemistry graduates work in future-oriented industries such as pharmaceuticals, environmental technology, materials science and the food industry. Whether in research, product development, quality assurance or management, Chemistry opens up numerous career paths for you.
Further qualifications are a great advantage for management positions in science and industry, as well as for specialised activities. With a Master’s degree and a Doctorate, you will gain access to demanding positions that require in-depth specialist knowledge, analytical thinking and innovative strength. This will give you a decisive competitive advantage in the job market.
The choice of your major subject will decisively shape your professional qualifications profile. In conjunction with one or two minor subjects, your relevant work experience (e.g. internships, part-time jobs, voluntary work) and your personal skills, it will enable you to refine your profile and carve out your own individual array of career options.
