The "International Business Management" program represents a joint program of the Department of Economics of the University of Marburg and the Grande Ecole INSEEC Business School, France. It is designed as a consecutive, primarily research-oriented master's program that extends over four semesters. Its strong international alignment is reflected not only in its teaching, but also in a required foreign internship. Instruction languages for students from Marburg are German and English.

Major topics

This master's program has the primary goal of imparting economic knowledge with emphases on international aspects.

The French specialization "International Business Strategy" expands individual economics disciplines (e.g. brand or supply chain management) and supplements them with aspects of human resources (e.g. intercultural conflicts or questions of economic ethics).

Objectives

With this master's program, students are qualified to take on challenging responsibilities as specialists or managers in the private economy – in the fields of industry, trade and services – in the public economy or with associations. Furthermore, the master's program enables students to acquire further qualification with a doctorate.

  • Admission requirements

    Required university degree

    We require proof of completion of a relevant Bachelor's degree programme in the field of "Economics" or proof of a comparable domestic or foreign university degree that qualifies students for a profession.

    At least 60 credit points (CP) must have been earned in economics subjects in the completed degree programme.

    Students must also be able to demonstrate methodological expertise in the form of at least 10 credits in mathematics, statistics, operations research, econometrics or empirical economic research.

    We require proof of your proficiency in English according to language level B2* and in French according to language level B1* of the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages of the Council of Europe".

    The degree programme is admission restricted (NC) according to the Hessian University Admission Ordinance.
