Rooms

Lahnberge

On the Lahnberge campus, there is a large computer room for e-exams (03D25) with 105 workstations in the multi-purpose building (location and directions). For participants with special needs (e.g. extra time, quiet room, visual impairment), an additional small computer room (03D26) directly next to the large computer room can be used at the same time. There are 5 additional workstations available, one of which is equipped with a height-adjustable desk and a larger monitor. The HRZ training room (06A07) in the same building with 30 workstations is also available. This means that exams with groups of up to 280 participants (in two rounds) are possible.

Lahntal

In the Lahntal, e-exams can be held in the computer rooms in the WiWi Pavilion (location and directions). There are two rooms with 35 and 25 workstations respectively, which are mainly available during the lecture-free period and to a limited extent during the lecture period. This means that cohorts of up to approx. 120 people (in two rounds) can be examined here.

Faculty of Medicine

For the e-exams of the Faculty of Medicine, a temporary test centre will also be set up at the end of the semester in the Central Medical Library (ZMB) by setting up laptops, which can accommodate a maximum of 180 examinees (360 participants in two rounds). Other departments may also use the ZMB for large exams during this time, provided that capacity remains available.

Exam Computers

All exam PCs run a specially configured exam browser (Safe Exam Browser) under Linux, which accesses the exam system via secure connections. It is generally not possible to use other programmes or access data carriers brought along or the internet. The use of quiet PCs and keyboards as well as privacy screens takes into account the special requirements of exams.
