Tōyō-University

Tōyō University is a private university in Tokyo (approx. 30,000 students). It is easy to reach by underground and modernly equipped. There has been a partnership with the Philipps University and the Department of Economics for a long time.

The 13 faculties, 46 departments, and 15 graduate schools of Tōyō University are spread across four cities and prefectures: Hakusan (Tokyo), Akabanedai (Tokyo), Asaka (Saitama), Kawagoe (Saitama), and Itakura (Gunma), Otemachi Satellite (Tokyo).

The philosophy of Tōyō University is "The foundation of all learning is philosophy". In particular, Indian and Chinese philosophy can be taken as a subject at Tōyō University.

Students who want to do an exchange at Toyo must have completed at least 1.5 years of study. A stay at the Tōyō University can take place both in the winter semester (September - February) and in the summer semester (April-August). It is recommended to have Japanese language skills. Students who have no language proficiency have the opportunity to take part in a language and culture course.
