Welcome to the companion website to

"Modest XPath and XQuery for corpora: Exploiting deep XML annotation"

This companion website offers three resources to accompany the above paper (for the manuscript, click here):

(i) the Inaugural Rhetorical Corpus (IRC), which is described in Section 2 of the paper,
(ii) the Inaugural Training Corpus (ITC), a short extract from the IRC fully annotated to be used as a training corpus, and
(iii) the XQuery Examples Resource, a collection of example queries for use with either corpus.

We invite corpus linguists to make use of these resources.
