But there is even more...

"Marburg doesn't have a university, Marburg is a university" because Marburg is a typical university town: Approximately one third of Marburg's inhabitants are students. The youthful atmosphere shapes the historic cityscape with the castle, old town, and half-timbered houses. Marburg's compact location allows for short distances: You can quickly reach your department building, the cafeteria, the new university library with modern equipped workspaces, or the lecture hall building.

Marburg also has a lively pub and cultural scene, as well as several sociocultural centers - there is something for everyone. You can relax best on the banks of the Lahn river or in the Old Botanical Garden, and generally, you can quickly get into nature in and around Marburg. In addition to 130 sports activities at the Center for University Sports, you will find numerous student initiatives where you can get involved.
