Anna Karapetyan is a doctoral researcher in law at the European University Viadrina. Her doctoral research project is situated at the intersection of international law and conflict studies. Among her research interests are international human rights and humanitarian law, state responsibility and transitional justice. Anna published papers on human rights and humanitarian law and participated in more than a dozen of international conferences.
 
Between 2015 and 2017, Anna interned at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Hague. Prior to her doctoral studies, Anna worked extensively in the civil society sector.
 
Anna has recently joined the Center for Conflict Studies as a guest researcher. Her research is financed by the DAAD.
