We are pleased to welcome Irem Aki from Ankara (Turkey) in Marburg.

Aki studied law at Ankara University, where she received her MA (2008) and PhD (2015) degrees in the Philosophy and Sociology of Law. She worked as a research assistant at Ankara University, Faculty of Law, Philosophy and Sociology of Law Department (2009-2017) and Cag University, Faculty of Law (2007-2009). At Ankara University Law School she has taught courses on the Philosophy of Law, Law and Literature and seminars/legal clinics on Law and Gender. 

Her research interests and scholarly publications are on the jurisprudence of Lon. L. Fuller, the rule of law, law and literature, feminist legal theory, transformative and transitive justice.

The Philipp Schwartz Initiative of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation finances her stay in Marburg. She will be the guest of the Center for Conflict Studies as a post-doc fellow until the end of July 2021.
