We are pleased to welcome Juan Carlos Arboleda-Ariza from Colombia/Chile in Marburg.

Juan Carlos Arboleda-Ariza is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Social Sciences (FACSO) University of Chile. Member of the Working Group: Collective Memories and Resistance Practices of CLACSO. His doctoral work consisted of a qualitative research of how the people in Colombia remember the armed conflict and the relationship with the peace. His research interests are related to issues of social memory, armed conflicts, social imaginaries, metaphors of science fiction applied to the social sciences, qualitative analysis, among others. He received his PhD in Social Psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2013), Master in Research in Social Psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2009) and Master in Psychosocial Intervention University of Barcelona (2011).

His current work has to do with memory policies in Chile and Colombia from a comparative perspective.

The CONICYT-FONDECYT Postdoctorate 2017 project N ° 3170814, finances his stay in Marburg. He will be the guest of the Center for Conflict Studies as a post-doc fellow until the end of October.
