As part of the regional conference of the Southeast Asian University Partnership for Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation (SAUP), taking place in Marburg this year, we invite you to join a public roundtable discussion on “Teaching Peace in Troubled Times”.

This roundtable brings together lecturers from Timor-Leste, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Germany to reflect on the evolving challenges of Peace and Conflict Studies in a world marked by war, democratic erosion, and climate insecurity. Together, we will explore how current political realities shape teaching content, how educators navigate emotional and institutional pressures, and how we can continue to inspire hope and agency in the classroom.
