Tasnim Jabaly

Tasnim Jabaly is a research associate at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Marburg and a member of the Center of Conflict Studies. Currently, she is engaged in research as part of the DFG subproject "Doing Human Rights: How the categories 'human' and 'migrant' are made (ir-)relevant in everyday life" (MeDiMi). Her research interest focuses on how differences are interactively constructed as relevant or irrelevant in relation to the de-differentiation category of 'human‘.

She completed her studies in psychology and sociology at the University of Wuppertal. During her studies, she acquired a foundation in methodological approaches used in social science research. Furthermore, she gained practical and professional experience in the areas of youth and social work as well as in community work.
