The study "What Drives Mobile Banking Adoption? - An Empirical Investigation Using Transaction Data", which documents a research project by Prof. Dr. Stolper together with Dr. Michel Becker (Managing Director of Mittelstand.AI GmbH) and Prof. Dr. Walter (holder of the professorship Financial Services at Justus Liebig University Giessen), has been published in the Journal of Banking Law and Banking.

In this project, changes in customer behaviour due to the use of the bank's mobile banking app were investigated using extensive transaction data from private customers of a large cooperative bank. The results of this work show that the general demand for banking services increases significantly due to the use of the mobile banking app. The higher customer activity is particularly evident among younger customers as well as people who already use online banking services and are digitally affine.
