Entrepreneurial Finance: THI Investments

THI Investments - a company that invests in European medium-sized companies with excellent management and sustainable long-term growth prospects. Christian Fleischer, as Director in the Private Equity (Value Creation) division at THI, presented his work in a guest lecture. Previously, he worked for more than 6 years at Bain & Company, where he supported private equity clients in commercial and operational due diligence and portfolio company value creation projects, among other things.



Entrepreneurial Finance: Project A

Project A - a venture capital firm that invests in digital companies that challenge the status quo in their industries, such as Trade Republic, kry or sennder. Raul Porojan, as Sales & Customer Success Director, presented his work during a guest lecture. He works with Project A's portfolio companies on topics such as sales recruiting & training, sales stack, organisational structure, strategy and processes.



Entrepreneurial Finance: Blinkist

Niklas Jansen, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Blinkist, in the guest lecture. The company was founded in 2012 and has more than 13 million users. Blinkist summarises the key messages of non-fiction books and educational podcasts. These summaries can be read or listened to in just 15 minutes.


Entrepreneurial Finance: Elephant & Castle

As part of a guest lecture in the Entrepreneurial Finance lecture, Gerrit Stehle, Managing Partner at the investment company Elephant & Castle, was able to provide exciting practical insights into the investment business.


Behavioral Finance: Allianz Global Investors und Lyxor International Asset Management

Ingo Meinert (Allianz Global Investors) and Thomas Meyer zu Drewer (Lyxor International Asset Management) discuss active versus passive portfolio management in the now traditional 'Battle of the Concepts'.


Entrepreneurial Finance: ValueNet Capital Partners GmbH

Andreas Lukic, co-founder and managing director of ValueNet Capital Partners GmbH, a private equity and consulting company founded in 2000, in the guest lecture. 


Entrepreneurial Finance: VC Trade

Tobias Zöller, co-founder and Managing Partner of the Frankfurt-based FinTech VC Trade, in the guest lecture. The company operates the leading digital marketplace for corporate finance and employs 25 employees.


Entrepreneurial Finance: MAFEX und MEDICALS

Julian Winter and Björn Langenberg are start-up advisors at MAFEX. MAFEX is part of the University of Marburg and supports founders in their start-up projects.

Eraj Shojai is the founder and CEO of eMedicals. The R&D start-up is a global pioneer in the field of digital nutrition therapy for patients with chronic kidney disease. The start-up is supported by the Hessian research funding programme LOEW.


Entrepreneurial Finance: VC Trade (damals unter dem Namen Value Concepts)

Tobias Zöller (founder and COO) gave the students insights into a marketplace for debt securities.


Entrepreneurial Finance: Lucie Haß (Managing Director bei Helaba Digital)

Lucie Haß from Helaba Digital gave the students exciting insights into the topic of corporate venture capital. Lucie focused in particular on the selection of suitable and promising ventures as well as the numerous methods for determining the value of a company.
