Prof. Dr. Hubert Zimmermann

Our research and teaching focus on the following topics:

German foreign and security policy, particularly military interventions abroad; the European Union’s foreign relations, particularly security, monetary, and trade policy; the euro: its origins and crisis; transatlantic relations; and the international policies of the United States and Japan. In addition, we regularly offer courses on theories of international relations and the U.S. presidential elections.

Research and Teaching Interests include (but are not limited to):

German and European Foreign and Security Policy, especially foreign military intervention; European foreign economic policies with a focus on monetary policy, trade, external fisheries policy; Transatlantic Relations, History of International Relations.
In addition, I regularly offer courses on Theories of International Relations and American Presidential Elections.
