B.Sc. Wirtschaftsinformatik (Business Informatics)

This primary, practice-oriented bachelor program provides solid knowledge in computer science majoring in practical computer science and business informatics, foundations of mathematics, optimization and statistics, as well as the foundations of business economics. The degree enables entry into professions involving business and administration utilizing methods from business information technology, as well as to a master’s studies program in computer science for business or in computer science. Graduates are, in particular, able to develop and implement procedures to solve practical problems using computer science applications within the context of business economics. Uniquely they are further able to work in a team consisting of representatives of other faculties.

The B.Sc. Wirtschaftsinformatik program is comprised of modules (What are modules?) from the fields of computer science, business economics and mathematics. The following table provides an overview of the modules to be completed throughout the course of study according to their allocation to academic disciplines in terms of content. The fundamentals are taught in the basic modules, while the advanced modules take the content further, and the practical modules provide students the opportunity to practice applying what they have learned. The elective modules can be chosen based on individual interests.
