6th Annual meeting 2027

The working group’s next meeting will take place on 18 and 19 June 2027 as part of the 500th anniversary of Philipps University Marburg. The venue will be the Landgrafensaal at the Marburg State Archives.

To mark the anniversary, the theme of this meeting will be ‘Diversity in Medicine: Medical Knowledge between Practice, Tradition and Institutions’.

We are pleased that the public keynote lecture will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Philip van der Eijk (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin).

The call for papers will be announced shortly. The programme and further information will be made available to you in good time before the meeting. To ensure you don’t miss any updates, please feel free to sign up to the email distribution list.

We look forward to seeing many of you at the next "Marburg Dialogues on Ancient Healing Arts", to share and discuss the latest research on the ancient healing arts.
