  • Marburg Volunteer Agency

    The Marburg-Biedenkopf Volunteer Agency is a nonprofit association where citizens have joined together to promote and strengthen volunteering in the city of Marburg and the surrounding district. The association sees itself as a “development agency for volunteer involvement.” The institution is nonpartisan and nondenominational.

    Together with the Marburg-Biedenkopf Volunteer Agency, the International Office strengthens the involvement of volunteers in Marburg as an important component for successful integration into Marburg city life. Lectures and events on the topic of volunteering provide information about current volunteer needs. The goal is to further expand Marburg’s welcoming culture and to successfully integrate students of all backgrounds into the social fabric of the city. The Marburg-Biedenkopf Volunteer Agency is happy to provide information about opportunities for getting involved in various areas as well as about organizations and initiatives.

  • STUBE Hessen

    STUBE Hessen is a program offered alongside the degree program (“studienbegleitendes Programm”) for students from Africa, Asia and Latin America who are studying in Hesse. The International Office in collaboration with STUBE Hessen organizes the “On the job hunt” seminar on the topic of career entry and searching for an internship in Germany and in students’ countries of origin. In addition, STUBE Hessen organizes development policy and education-related events and supports internship stays in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

  • German Federal Employment Agency

    The German Federal Employment Agency offers comprehensive advising and services for students with a refugee background through its Labor Market Office for Refugees and Migrants  and education and career advising. Together with the Agency’s university team, the International Office offers events on the topic of ”How to start my career?” for international students and those with a refugee background.
