Possible Tasks
- You inform the public and craft the public image of businesses, organizations, and government ministries and agencies.
- You develop appropriate concepts and strategies to shape the public image of a company, organization, institution, etc.
- You deliver press releases, hold press conferences, compile press reviews, give interviews, etc.
. You represent your employer to the media.
- You maintain your employer’s website, oversee blogs and forums, or create content for social media.
- You develop concepts and strategies regarding the company’s public image, e.g. corporate design.
- You plan promotions, campaigns, events, or presentations.
- You evaluate media reports and generate situation and opinion analyses.
- You advise clients, senior staff, and managers on how to deal with the media and, if necessary, conduct media training classes and exercises.
- You perform lobby work (e.g. contact people from politics, trade unions and other associations, non-governmental organizations, or religious organizations).
Journalism
- You gather information, evaluate it, and use it to create written or oral reports for radio, TV, print, and online media.
- You conduct interviews, edit reports and news items, host programs, or report live on radio and TV.
- You research information from news agency reports, press releases, informants, databases, and archives.
- You focus on a specific field of expertise, e.g. domestic and foreign policy, business and economics, local affairs, sports, arts and culture, and science.
