The professional use of language, especially foreign languages, is an achievement that should not be underestimated. Using (foreign) languages “for others” is a service that has become increasingly important in recent years. It’s not just about the final product, the text, the book, or the film as such, but about the content that is to be transferred from one language culture to another. How can a topic that has resonated strongly in country X be transferred to another linguistic world without losing its specific character? How did the “Royals” become a global cultural phenomenon? Which of our cultural products could be somewhat suitable for comparing to the “Royals?” Professionals from the fields of linguistics and cultural studies are the content providers of the future. Understanding HOW the business works is helpful, but what is crucial is WHAT will still resonate the day after tomorrow.
