As a junior scholar, you see yourself confronted with high
expectations from both yourself and your advisor. To achieve a fine
balance between these demands without endangering your health or your
private life, self-organization and a good time management are crucial.
During the workshop, you will learn approaches and methods to help you succeed in this challenging task.
Intended Learning Outcomes:
- You are able to develop appropriate objectives and to divide complex tasks into manageable units (theoretical input, practical exercise, group discussion).
- You are capable of setting priorities and focusing on key tasks (trainer input, group discussion).
- You know how to monitor the progress of your work and control the achievement of your objectives (theoretical input, group discussion).
- You are able to identify "time sinks" and organize your work-flow in a productive way (practical exercise, group discussion).
Requirements:
Please note that this is not an English language course. Proficiency in English at the B2 level of competency is required.

September 9, 2016, 9 am–4 pm

This event can be credited in the certificate program "Entwicklung und Management von Forschungsprojekten" EMF.
