The Makerspace
Learn, Experiment, and Bring Your Ideas to Life
The MAFEX Makerspace is a central hub for hands-on work at Philipps-Universität Marburg. It combines training and learning opportunities with infrastructure for independent project development and is open to students, researchers, and startup teams from all academic disciplines.
At the Makerspace, you can independently develop and create models, demonstrators, and prototypes, either on your own or with support. The focus is on practical, application-oriented development, the targeted use of technical methods, and the step-by-step transformation of ideas into tangible results that are ready for presentation or testing. The Makerspace supports both knowledge transfer projects and startup initiatives emerging from research, teaching, and practical applications.
