About GenDem:
What do anti-feminism, democracy, and authoritarian tendencies have in common? The new LOEWE research focus "Entanglement of Anti-Feminisms: Gender, Democracy, and Authoritarianism in 'Entangled Modernities'" (GenDem) addresses this question. GenDem is funded by the Hessian State Initiative for the Development of Scientific and Economic Excellence (LOEWE). The consortium is led by the University of Marburg. GenDem comprises a total of six subprojects at the University of Marburg, Justus Liebig University Giessen, and the Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe in Marburg.
