The third edition of the Behavioral and Social Finance & Accounting Conference (BFGA) took place virtually this year on November 4th and 5th. During the conference, current research in the areas of Behavioral Finance, Financial Markets & Accounting, Managerial Accounting and Sustainable Finance were presented and discussed.

A special highlight was the keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Ebert (Frankfurt School of Finance and Management). Prof. Dr.  Ebert illustrated his research topic on  "Skewness preferences - the human attitudes towards rare, high-impact risks" in a very comprehensible and inspiring way for the participants.

Thanks to the generous support of Union Investment and EB - Sustainable Investment Management, two Best Paper Awards could be awarded this year. The Best Paper Award in the regular program was awarded to  Matthias Pelster, Anntette Hofmann, Nina Klocke and Sonja Warkulat for their paper "Dark Triad Personality Traits and Selective Hedging". The Best Paper Award in the Sustainability section was given to Matthias Horn for his paper "The Influence of ESG Ratings on Idiosyncratic Stock Risk: The Unrated, the Good, the Bad, and the Sinners".

As co-host of the BFGA, the Behavioral Finance Research Group is particularly pleased with the successful event and would like to thank all speakers for their contributions and dedicated participation.
