Travel information

By car:

  • From the South

From the city highway, take the first exit (Marburg-Süd). Turn right at the traffic light, then drive straight and turn right at the second traffic light toward Marburg. Follow the main road. You will then come to a traffic light where you can only turn left or right. Here, turn left while staying in the right lane and then turn right at the next traffic light (before the ARAL gas station). You will find yourself on Frankfurter Straße. Now, continue driving straight until you see the department building (red sandstone). Here, do not make a slight left but rather keep driving straight until you see the courtyard entrance on your left.

  • From the North

Coming from the Marburg-Mitte exit on the city highway: At the first traffic light, turn right towards the city center and stay in the left lane. When you come to the traffic light where you can only turn right or left (you can see the old university and drive straight over the Weidenhäuser Bridge), turn left. You will find yourself on Universitätsstraße. At the next traffic light, get in the left turning lane and turn onto Gutenbergstraße. After approx. 200 meters, you will see the faculty building (red sandstone). The courtyard entrance is located on the opposite side (diagonally) of the building. In order to get there, take a left before the building, then turn right. The courtyard entrance is located a few meters down the road.
