The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and its business office are located in the multi-purpose building ("Mehrzweckgebäude" in German) in Hans-Meerwein-Straße.

By train:

Our department is easily accessible by bus and train since trains to Marburg depart Frankfurt/Main and Kassel every hour (see timetable information at  Deutsche Bahn (DB) or Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV)). If you are coming from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (the Frankfurt main train station), depending on your chosen connection, you will take a RE, HLB or an IC train. If you take a HLB, be careful: Some of these trains are being split in Gießen. Make sure that you are sitting in the correct half of the train (going to Treysa, not Dillenburg).

Get off at Marburg (Lahn). Depending on your train and your direction, the station before is either Gießen (IC or RE from Frankfurt), Marburg Süd (HLB from Frankfurt), Treysa (IC from Kassel) or Kirchhain (RE or HLB from Kassel). From the train station in Marburg, take bus #2 (bus platform B6) to the Hans-Meerwein-Straße stop. The bus stop at the main train station is located in front of the exit. During high traffic times, bus #2 runs every 15 minutes. Please refer to the Fahrplanauskunft des RMV for a current bus schedule. Taxis are also available from the main train station.

By car:

Coming from the North (e.g. Kassel) on Bundesstraße 3 (B3 street) take exit Wehrda and follow the signs for Klinikum and Uni Lahnberge. After passing the exits Klinikum and Hans-Meerwein-Straße take the next possibility to turn left for getting into the opposite direction. Take the next exit to the car park (Anlieferung Chemie). You will gain access to the car park if you ring at the barrier and tell the reason of your visit.

Coming from the South (e.g. Gießen) on Bundesstraße 3 (B3 street) take exit Marburg-Süd and follow the signs for Klinikum and Uni Lahnberge. After passing the exit Karl-von-Frisch-Straße/Botanischer Garten take the next exit to the car park (Anlieferung Chemie). You will gain access to the car park if you ring at the barrier and tell the reason of your visit.

By airplane (Frankfurt Airport):

If you arrived at Terminal 2, take the "Sky line" to Terminal 1. At Terminal 1, follow the signs "Bahnhöfe / Train stations". If you have some time, find the DB Reisezentrum (Area B, Level 0). They will look up the trains for you and sell you the corresponding tickets. If you're in a hurry, or the queue at DB Reisezentrum is too long, this is how to get to Marburg:

The train station at Frankfurt Airport is divided into 2 parts: platforms 1-3 (this is where you enter the station) are for regional trains, while platforms 4-7 are for long distance trains and a certain distance to walk from the entrance. Look for a red DB ticket vending machine or a green RMV ticket vending machine, where you can look up your next connection to Marburg and where you can buy the corresponding ticket, which costs - depending on the connection - about 15 to 35€. Connections using an IC or ICE train are slightly faster, but considerably more expensive and can only be bought at the red DB ticker vending machines. In either case, you have to transfer at "Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof", from where you can follow the above section "By train".
