Atrocity Crimes Prevention and Human Rights
The course on the prevention of atrocity crimes takes place annually in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and is aimed at advanced students of law, humanities, and social sciences. The internationally high-profile program provides interdisciplinary insights into the causes and dynamics of the most serious human rights violations – ranging from early warning mechanisms to the role of preventive diplomacy and civil society action, as well as instruments such as civilian protection, transitional justice, and the prevention of recurrent violence. Marburg students are repeatedly offered the opportunity to participate in this exciting program.
