Transmission Electron Microscopes

mar.quest is equipped with a variety of (scanning) transmission electron microscopes (TEM/STEM) featuring diverse configurations and specializations. These instruments enable the investigation of a wide range of research questions—from biological samples under cryogenic conditions to high-resolution imaging and spectroscopy, as well as in-situ experiments in gas atmospheres.

Further details on the specifications of individual microscopes can be found by clicking on their respective names."

Scanning Electron Microscopes / Focused Ion Beam Systems

In addition to transmission electron microscopes (TEM), mar.quest's infrastructure includes multiple scanning electron microscopes (SEM) and focused ion beam (FIB) systems. When combined with analytical techniques such as EDX and EBSD, these instruments enable comprehensive material characterization as well as precise sample preparation for TEM analysis.

For detailed information on the instrumentation of the systems, please click on the respective instrument name.
