MCAW Junior Research Group

The MCAW Junior Research Group investigates the role of social conditions in shaping religious practices in temporally and spatially diverse cultures. There is a particular focus on questions concerning the religious agency of the ancient actors, the design of sanctuaries and cultic practices, the construction of religious identities, and interactions between political and social development and the administration of cult.
