Equality scholarships to promote equal opportunity

Through targeted interdisciplinary support of highly qualified women, especially in the qualification phase of the doctorate as well as the habilitation, Philipps-Universität Marburg wants to contribute to increasing the representation of women scientists at all qualification levels on their way to a professorship, thus sustainably integrating women into the academic and scientific system. Another focus is on supporting young women scientists’ in balancing family and pursuing academic qualifications.

Förderverein Gerda Weiler Stiftung e.V. (Gerda Weiler Support Foundation)
Supports interdisciplinary research activities by women, especially outside the university setting. 

UNESCO-L’ORÉAL-Förderprogramm für Wissenschaftlerinnen mit Kindern (UNESCO-L’Oréal Support Program for Women Scientists with Children)
The German UNESCO Commission and L’Oréal Germany in partnership with the Christiane Nüsslein Volhard Foundation annually award three scholarships of EUR 20,000 each to promote excellent women in German research.

Ingrid zu Solms Stiftung (Ingrid zu Solms Foundation)
Foundation to support elite women intellectuals in science, culture and implementation of human rights.

Stiftung Zurückgeben (Giving-Back Foundation)
A foundation to promote Jewish women in the arts and sciences. 

Deutsche Stiftung Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung Heidelberg (German Foundation for Women’s and Gender Studies Heidelberg)
The foundation is a private initiative whose mission is to make visible the contributions of women to the history of humanity and to promote projects dedicated to relevant topics.

The foundation is committed to helping women and girls achieve greater participation in society.
