Together with Paula Rinke and Milena Gropp from RTG 2700, Florian Hintz and Johanna Funk took part in the 30th LIPP Symposium "Variation and Cognition in Language" in Munich from May 20 to May 23, 2025, where they presented parts of their present research.

Florian Hintz presented findings showing that individual differences in literacy skills and language experience influence auditory language comprehension—presumably because orthographic knowledge is automatically activated during listening.

Johanna Funk presented results from her PhD project, demonstrating that asynchronous presentation of written and spoken word forms enhances learning success, and that individual differences in processing speed play a role in learning outcomes.
