Projects

The Marburg Centre for Canadian Studies emerged in 2001 from the Interdisciplinary Research Group Canada at the Philipps-Universität Marburg, which was founded in 1989 and was already able to draw on the long-standing research interests of Marburg scientists in Canadian topics. The Centre is part of the Department of Foreign Language Philology and consists of members of various departments and institutions of the university who share a common interest in Canada and Canadian studies. The Centre's mission is to provide and deepen knowledge of the geography, political and social system, and literature of the second largest country in the world. On this page you will find an overview of the projects with which we pursue this goal.
