Once upon a time: the doctorate

Every fall, the staff unit of Fundraising and Alumni Service, in cooperation with the unit of Young Academics, hosts a celebration to mark the golden and silver doctoral anniversaries for graduates who completed their doctorates at the University of Marburg 25 and 50 years ago.
The Silver and Gold Doctoral Anniversaries, which premiered in 2018, will continue to bring alumni from around the world and Germany back to the university annually in the future. The goal is to maintain contact with former students, to network with them, and ideally to use the connection in a meaningful way for students: for mentoring programs, presentations from professional life, and much more.

Is it the 25th or 50th anniversary of your doctorate? We would be happy if you could contact us.

Blauer Himmel und viel Grün, wie hier an der Alten Universität - Marburg bietet eine hohe Lebensqualität, insbesondere in den Sommermonaten.

The university summer festival takes place every year with a proven mixture of information and entertainment. In 2022, the festival was held for the first time in the New Botanical Garden on the Lahn Hills on July 1. Accordingly, topics related to the garden were also on the program: many thematic contributions came from the Department of Biology and from the garden itself, for example on the project "Urbanity and Diversity" or the organic wood project of the Department of Biology. For alumni, exclusive tours of the greenhouses were also offered for the first time.

You are cordially invited!
