On Friday, July 11, 2025, the Center for Near and Middle Eastern Studies (CNMS) at Philipps‑Universität Marburg hosted its annual PhD Colloquium in Islamic Studies. The event took place from 09:30 to 18:00 in room 01A03 at Deutschhausstraße 12.
Doctoral candidates presented their research and engaged in constructive academic discussions with peers and faculty members, fostering scholarly exchange and intellectual collaboration.
In the evening, participants joined Professors Albrecht Fuess and Pierre Hecker for a guided walk through Marburg’s historic center. This leisurely stroll allowed attendees to experience the vibrant atmosphere of the city’s annual 3 Tage Marburg festival, exploring local music, artisan stalls, traditional cuisine, and other cultural attractions.
