Richard Herzog

Richard Herzog is a postdoctoral research fellow at the History Department of the Philipps-Universität Marburg and at the DFG Collaborative Research Centre/Transregio 138 Dynamics of Security. Types of Securitization from a Historical Perspective. His main work deals with Latin America, decolonial studies and intellectual history, with a research focus on colonial history from a transnational perspective. In his doctoral thesis completed at Giessen University, Richard studied Nahua scholars of central colonial Mexico and has conducted archival research in Mexico and Spain.
