Tutorial for International Students of the Master of North-American Studies

For international degree-seeking students (not for exchange students)

* You want to meet other international students, find new friends and share your own experiences?

 Small tutorial for international students of the Master of North-American Studies

The tutorial is aimed at international Master students of North-American Studies and offers practical support in finding your way around your studies, the department and the university. It is therefore particularly interesting for students in their first semesters. The focus is on orientation in your own study structure and academic culture in Germany, understanding relevant terms of everyday university life, confidently handling of different types of texts, typical methods as well as the acquisition of basic academic working techniques.

Our tutorial is offered by Öykü Yavuz. She is an international student of a higher semester of North-American Studies. She will share with you her experiences and tips and tricks that have helped her through her studies. In a relaxed peer to peer atmosphere, you can ask questions and address current challenges and have the opportunity to practice some forms of study performance without pressure to perform and without assessment.

When and where?

The tutorial takes place online. It has two intensive parts before the regular courses start. Each session runs from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Full participation is strongly recommended because the topics change daily and build on one another:
