Around 1.3 trillion eggs are consumed annually: A gigantic market size with countless functions that eggs fulfill and for which there are almost no alternatives. Together with her co-founders Gary Lin (visionary digital entrepreneur) and Bernd Becker (former Head of Development at Rügenwalder Mühle), Tanja Bogumil founded Perfeggt, a highly innovative food tech start-up that opens up new ways of producing and consuming plant-based eggs. 

Considering the so-called "farm-to-fork strategy" that aims to make food systems fair, healthy and environmentally friendly, Tanja Bogumil became increasingly interested in the value chain of eggs as the most popular animal protein on the market. After extensive market analysis and research, the company first starts producing an alternative for scrambled eggs, the most popular function of eggs. Today, the company has already received a financial support of 3.6 million euros.

The Chair of Entrepreneurship & Innovative Business Models is is looking forward to welcoming Tanja Bogumil (Co-Founder & CEO) and Christoph Raethke (Angel Investor & Founder of Berlin Startup Academy) from Perfeggt and having a great exchange with our master students in the „Current Topics in Entrepreneurship” module (on site!).
