INSEEC Business School Paris was founded in 1983 and is a private non-profit organisation which is fully accredited by the French government as a "Grande Ecole".

It is part of INSEEC Group, which was founded in 1975 in Bordeaux. The Group is at the cutting edge in learning methods and equipment and maintains an extensive network in the business world. INSEEC is one of France's largest and most financially stable business schools, and currently has about 8,000 students in all.

Given the importance of an international orientation, INSEEC is a member of EQUIS and the AACSB and is in the process of receiving accreditation from these organisations. INSEEC has contractual arrangements with more than 100 international partners. These range from exchange arrangements for individual students to double degree programmes (over 40). Exchange partners include prestigious universities such as Berkeley and UCLA, while double degree programmes exist with Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia and EGADE in Tec de Monterrey, Mexico.
