Registration

For examination and compulsory coursework you must register via MARVIN.
How? -> see FAQ.

To be respected and observed the following Checklist-Points.

Please note: The described rules do not apply to incoming exchange students.

  • Ο Registered before the deadline?

Registration must be completed by the deadline.
Unregistered participation in retake examinations — including assignments and other work during the semester — is not permitted.
The deadlines (GER) listed on the Examination Office website apply.

You can find explanations on the “Exam registration and deregistration” procedure and “Tips”; if you get stuck, read our FAQs

For formal questions regarding exam registration, please contact the Exam Office.
The examiners or academic advisers are responsible for questions regarding the content of examinations.

Our  module handbooks (GER) answer questions about the type and number of coursework and exams required for each module.

  • Ο Sample Cover Sheet ready?

The Sample Cover Sheet must be filled out completely and correctly for each individual exam and required coursework.

If you cannot find an examination number in your study planner, you can find it in our examination number overview

For written examinations (e.g. term papers, essays and other written work during the semester): include this as the first page of the written work.

For presentations and other oral examinations / compulsory coursework: hand in to the examiner immediately before the examination.

Your grade cannot be recorded in the examination system without the information from the sample cover sheet, so you (and we) will have to put a lot of effort into obtaining your grade afterwards.

If the grading is urgent, e.g., due to graduation, BAföG (financial aid), etc., please indicate this (with reason + the externally set deadline) on the sample cover sheet.

  • Ο Sworn Statement attached?

The Sworn Statement must be included as the last page of every written paper — except for written examinations (Klausuren) — in both the digital and print versions.

  • Ο Enrolled at the time you submit an examination?

You must be enrolled at the time you submit an examination.
This also applies to retake examinations.
Otherwise, your achievement will be invalid.

This means: If you submit your thesis after 31 March (in winter semester) respectively  after 30 September (in summer semester), you must re-register for the following semester regardless.
