DSA-Project: "Zum Lautsystem des Schwäbischen: Nasalierung und Vokaländerung"
The aim of Tyler Kniess' research stay is to investigate the acoustic and articulatory features of the oral and nasal space during the articulation of nasalised vowels in Swabian. The aim is to provide, supported by local grammars and language atlases that can be consulted at the Research Center Deutscher Sprachatlas, a comprehensive geographical and linguistic-historical description of nasalisation in this dialect area.
