MARA offers doctoral candidates and postdocs an initial consultation tailored to their individual needs in matters pertaining to the doctoral or postdoctoral phase and beyond. Issues that might be discussed in a personal consultation session could be:
- Shall I pursue a doctoral degree? Yes or no?
- Funding during the doctoral or postdoctoral phase
- Career paths within or outside of academia
- Skill acquisition for career advancement
- Challenges and conflicts
