Content and learning outcomes

In the internship, which can be completed either individually or in a group, the students work on part of a project within an external research project or a scientific institute from the GLAM area (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums) or related fields. They apply the knowledge learned in their studies to the internship.

After completing this module, the students can reflect on their practical experience and connect it with the content of their studies. They can use their methodological and theoretical knowledge and abilities as needed to achieve their goals. The students are able to contribute to information-technological solutions for specific problems from the humanities and social sciences. They can assess and discuss the ethical, theoretical and methodological parameters of research projects in the digital humanities and social sciences.

Prerequisites None. It is recommended that this module be completed in the third semester.

  • Module exam: report (20,000-25,000 characters
Assessment according to § 28 Abs. (1) of the M.A. Cultural Data Studies examination regulations, this module is not graded.
