Content and learning outcomes

In the thesis module, the students deepen their knowledge and abilities in the form of a thesis about a specific topic from the digital humanities and social sciences. The thesis can be completed individually or in a group, and is completed over the course of six months.

After completing this module, the students are able to conduct  methodological and theory-based scientific research on a completed topic. They can develop and conduct a scientific project as well as present and defend the results. The students can further assess and discuss the ethical, theoretical and methodological parameters of research in the digital humanities and social sciences.

  • Module exam: Master’s thesis (24 LP, 120,000-16,000 characters) and defense in colloquium (6 LP, 45-60 minutes)
