Advising services

Whether it is a part-time job, and internship or a permanent position, starting your professional life raises many questions. The advising services at the International Office target international students and graduates who wish to start their career and have questions about their first steps into the German job market.

Advising will cover the following topics:

  • Professional orientation and application strategies
  • Personal skills and strengths
  • Labor law requirements
  • Questions about your resident status while searching for a job

Advising at a glance:

  • Available in German and English
  • Individual advising by telephone or video call
  • A maximum of 60 minutes per appointment with the option for a follow-up
  • Advising by appointment only via e-mail:


  • We do not offer job or internship placements.
  • We do not offer application or portfolio reviews.
  • When registering, please provide your phone number and briefly describe the concern you would like to discuss during the advising appointment.
