Re-centering African Subjects and Subjectivities Network
Scientists from various disciplines, such as political science, international relations, sociology and anthropology, who conduct research on regionalism and regionalisation processes in Africa have formed the network RASS. Based on a critical examination of Western and African perspectives on regionalism, and drawing on the collective expertise of its members, the network aims to generate new empirical insights, develop innovative methodological approaches and further theory development in the field of African regionalism. Guided by a commitment to placing African subjects and subjectivities at the centre of analysis, the network makes a substantial contribution to our understanding of regional dynamics in Africa and beyond.
