Are you looking for scholarly literature from the field of literary studies? Do you need research articles on special topics from the foreign language philologies? If so, you should take a look at the MLA International Bibliography. It is the most important bibliography on literature and folkloristics of all modern philologies. Over 6,000 journals and other collective works are regularly reviewed for articles that fall within the bibliography’s scope. In this workshop, we will introduce you to the MLA database and explain its main functions. Afterwards, you can explore the database yourself.
Intended Learning Outcomes:
After attending the workshop, you will be able to ...
- name the main functionalities of the MLA database,
- formulate search queries using the advanced search and the thesaurus,
- create complex search queries with Boolean operators.
